Mainely Insulation

Mainely Insulation

Mainely Insulation is a Biddeford-based insulation contractor serving homeowners and commercial clients across Southern Maine. Led by Scott Regan and crew lead Trey Gagne, our team installs and improves residential and commercial insulation — spray foam, dense-pack cellulose, fiberglass, vapor barriers, and full air sealing and ventilation work. Whether you are upgrading an older home to cut heating costs, sealing a new build to code, or tracking down the moisture problem behind the mold, we walk the job in person and give you a fair written estimate before we touch a thing. We are spray foam certified, fully insured, and we extend a 5% discount to first responders and veterans. "Insulation without ventilation leads to condensation" — we get the whole envelope right, not just the easy part.

Fiberglass Insulation

Cost-effective, time-tested. Excellent thermal resistance and soundproofing for attics, walls, and basements — done right means doing the prep work first.

Air Sealing

Blocks the drafts and gaps that drive your heating bill up. The single highest-ROI upgrade most older Maine homes can make.

Ventilation Systems

Fresh air in, moisture and pollutants out. Without proper ventilation, even the best insulation traps the wrong air.

Vapor Barriers

Stops moisture from migrating into walls and floors — protecting against mold, rot, and water damage in basements and crawl spaces.

Frequently Asked

How much will I actually save on heating?
Depends on the starting condition of your envelope, but most Maine homeowners we work with see 20–35% off their heating bill after a proper air seal + insulation upgrade. We'll walk your home, identify the highest-impact areas, and give you a realistic projection — not a sales pitch.
Spray foam vs dense-pack cellulose — which is right for my home?
Both are excellent, and the right choice depends on the cavity, the access, and your moisture situation. Spray foam gives the best per-inch R-value and air-seals in one pass; dense-pack cellulose is eco-friendly, quieter, and shines for retrofitting existing wall cavities. We'll recommend honestly based on what your house actually needs.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — every estimate is free and we do them in person. We walk the home, identify the priorities, and follow up with a written quote within a couple of days. No pressure, no sales call follow-ups.
Do you do older homes and retrofits?
Yes, and this is where we shine. We retrofit older Southern Maine homes — many of them with no insulation in the walls at all. Dense-pack cellulose through small holes in the siding is often the answer; we'll walk you through the options.
Is there rebate or financing help available?
Yes. Many of our projects qualify for Efficiency Maine rebates, and we can help walk you through the paperwork. Ask about current programs when we come for the estimate.
How long does an insulation project take?
Most residential jobs are one to three days on site. Larger commercial or full-house jobs can run a week. We will give you a realistic schedule before we start, and we keep you posted throughout.
